Hey everyone,

I’ve got a race coming up in the next few weeks at Sweetwater Raceway in Powder Springs, GA, and I’m trying to decide between running a B7.1 or B7.1D for 17.5 buggy.

From everything I’ve gathered, the track is a painted concrete surface with fairly good grip. I know that’s not exactly a typical surface compared to what most of us run (dirt, clay, or carpet), which is why I wanted to ask before just guessing.

I haven’t had a chance to get out there ahead of time to see it in person or talk with locals, so I’m trying to get a solid starting point before I show up.

For those who’ve run on similar surfaces:

  • Would you lean B7.1 or B7.1D?
  • How does the grip compare to carpet or typical dirt tracks?
  • Any key setup changes that really help on painted concrete?

Just trying to come in a bit more prepared instead of being way off base.

Appreciate any insight—thanks!
