well on last sunday i was racing at my local track and it was time to race 8th scale and i went back to the tent and fired up my ofna lx comp and started to warm it up and some new guy came over and asked me whet place i was in the pionts and i told him 1st by 145points and he looked at me and said not after today and walked away i didnt think nuttin bout it and went up to start the race. Well the green flag dropped and the race began and off in first i went well 3 laps in with 7 to go i noticed my buggy started running like poop so i brought it in to my pit guy and had him temp it only 135 so i had him lean it out and off again i want still in first well me my buddy and the new guy went into the hair pin turn and well we all crashed and gues who was cornering that corner the new guys son well i was only inches away from him and so was my buddy but his dad was way far away from him so he ran over and flipped his dad first then flipped my buddies and then attempted to flip mine well he didnt he put my on my side and walked away well i grabbed the mike and told him to flip me right and to quit cheating and so he did well by then i was dead last with 2 laps to go so now i was mad so i started passing people really fast tring to get my places back and the next thing i know the kid is right infront of me and bang i hit him but he was in the track for no reason well i ended up taking 2nd well after the race i went back to the tent and was very very mad because i was screwed so i talked to the presadent and told him bout it and showed him the tape of it and he said well if it was you ou would do the same and that there is nothing he can do bout it so i walked over to the new guy and he laughed at me and saif TOLD YOU SO and walked away wut do you guys think i should do bout it and if it ever happend to you than u me

Man, if that happened to me, I'd prolly get banned from the track, I'd be like, "WHAT THE :censored: IS WRONG W/ U, U STUPID LITTLE :censored: , MY :censored: CAR IS RIGHT :censored: NEXT TO YOU YOU :censored:!!! I MEAN SERIOUSLY, DO YOU HAVE :censored: FOR BRAINS!? HUH?! HUH, U LITTLE :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: !!!!!!!!!!!!

Then I'd prolly go over and choke the kid...lol. Actually, I'd prolly jus go yell at him and his dad some more, lol.

sounds like a cheating pair to me. you already tried to handle it through proper channels by way of the club president. I'm not telling you to handle yourself inappropriately, but if it were me, and i ever had a clear shot at the guys pipeside, you better belive id be nailing the gas and not the brakes. his kids ankles would be fair game as well. make sure you tell the rest of the regulars what happened as well, I'm sure they would be more than happy to hold him back, especially if they are getting lapped. i hate to be an ignorant person, but its hackfest time.

well i was at the track sunday with brand new turnbuckles warmed up waiting for everyone else. guys were running their trucks back and forth on the straight waiting for everyone and keeping htem from loading up. this guy samcks right into my wheel breaking a brand new tie-rod. an upgrade at that. oh and i didnt get to race. didn't notice it was broke till after the first turn. he the track king to boot. i think it's his track. and i bent a dogbone running into his shader some weeks back at another track in town.

i can break my truck on my own. it like going snowboarding and getting hurt by someone else. i can hurt my self on my own.

Supermaxx I fully agree w/ corrado...don't make a big deal about it to anyone anymore cause you'll draw attention to your self...if the proper authorities won't take action then take it on your own....I hacked a guy for an entire A-main...the only one I ever made it to....just cause the guy was acting like an ass clown the whole day.....he likes to drive his hopped up buggy next to my ankles and jumped off the track (intentionally) near my kids head....that's just not cool.....fiddlesticks em.....if someone doesn't respect you they should get none in return.....

i agree with corrado also ... at least you kept a level head ... take it out on the track .. get that chance to put him in the pipes .. don't hesitate ...

arawak : all i can say is before the race starts it is chaos in the straights with people running back and forth ... we have the same thing at our track .. alot of trucks running every which way .. things happen .. usually not intentionally ...

we have a kid that comes out to our track .. with his dad .. they were running 1/10 nitro together and the kid passed his dad and told him to slow the next guy up when he tries to pass ... next time i get an open shot at the kids truck .. he will get what he has coming .... GAS ON !!!

supermax .. where in wisconsin are ya ?

These guys have given you good advise and it's probably what you should do. But the question was what would I do if it were me...Right. I would have found the dad after the race and beat his ass. It's not the right thing to do but I think that's what I would have done. Keep in mind It wouldn't bother me to get banned from the track.

Thats good advice but...

You could loosen up one of their wheel nuts before a race. J/k.

I used to think that way...but you have to remember the law is on the side of the person who got hit first.....and kicking ass over an RC race just isn't worth the vacation you can get......yeah that guy does deserve an ass whoopin for teaching his son to cheat but if you can beat em legally and on the track it will make your point that much more rewarding...unfortunately I've learned that lesson from experience.....the right way will always feel better to you...and you can rub it in his face real good...if he takes the initiative to start a fight...then plant both feet in his ass so far he tastes toe jam......

Sounds like this sh!t head may have been screwing with your rig before the race, if you were running that rich. First thing I would do is keep a close eye on him and his kid for the next few weeks. And if you see either of them in your pit, I'd have a face to face :argue: with them about touching other ppl's property w/o permission and tell him if you ever catch him near your pit, you will break his fingers!!! "NO QUESTIONS ASKED"!!! :whack:

In the mean time I would talk to the track officials about his cheating son martialing while dad is racing, and keep the kid off the track. Then next time you see the guy come up behind you, start blocking until you get to a jump or corner, line up a rear tire with one of his front, slam on brakes and send him filpping airborn over the tubes. :boxing: If the kid does martial again and pulls that crap, then I would take out his knees and ankles next time he steps out on the track for no reason. If anything is said, then "oh well, thats racing, poop happens".

That's the reason I carry a hammer in my pitbox. :hammer: Seriously; I've been there. I've had a guy hit the brakes in front of my truck during an oval race, and strip my transmission. But at least he was man enough to cough up for gears after the club president yelled at him.

.........or 2................................................or 3...............................................or 4................................

But it'd be funny as hell, all the racers would be like, "haha, what a dumbass, he forgot to tighten his wheel nuts!" lol.

LOL...... Man, those guys are idiots. Next time you race them, forget about the points... Just whack them the whole race. It will feel good :D

I'm going to take the high road here and say let them cheat.
Go out and run the cleanest race you can and be rewarded by doing your best. Going out and trying to hack someone isn't the right thing to do. At the end of the day everyone knows whats going on. There are no secrets on the track. If these guys continue on the same path they are on everyone will get the clue.

To go out and lower yourself to their messed up ways is no way to conduct yourself on the track. Trying to phisicaly hurt someone with a 10 lb RC going 10-20 mph is a criminal act and IMO much worse then cheating. If you try to hack people on the track chances are you will be the one to suffer damage and be out of the race. Just pass them or let them pass you. Once they see you wont play their game they will move on to someone else. People like this start at the top and work their way down until they find someone that will play their silly games. Let them focus on someone else.

Get a large plastic storage box with the folding tops that are available at Home Depot, K-Mart, or Wally world. Find one that has little holes in the lid for a padlock. Keep your car in one and your fuel and starter box in another. If not a lock use a zip tie to secure the lid. If its been tampered with, you will know.

fiddlesticks these assholes and play your own game.

Go messin with his needle settings!!! Dude, that sux, o well. Next time u win, walk up to him holding ur trophy and tell them to have a good day. You will win the fight in the long run.

Actually if the stupid kids steps out on the track for no reason other than stopping, slowing or wrecking someone then they take their own chances. So if they get hit by a buggy running 20 or 40 mph in doing so, its suicide on their part not criminal on the drivers part. I didn't say hit the kid while he is in his martial spot or while he is martialing another car. I said hit him if he steps out when there isn't any reason for him to be in the lane other than causing problems. It’s obvious that the track officials aren't going to do about it. The pres. may even be best buds with the guy and not care what he or his son does.

On the other hand, trying to intentionally wreck them may not be the best way to go about it. You may end up creating more trouble for yourself in the long run and end up having a bashing fest for the rest of the season or end up with both of you band from the track.

As far as the lock and key goes…that kinda takes the fun out of the sport if you have to constantly worry about someone messing with your stuff. If I had to do that every week at my local track, I would quit going. R/C racing is supposed to be about having fun, learning and helping others. Not starting wars or tampering with someone else’s rig and cheating. Cheaters never win and winners never cheat. But I would still knock the crap out of that kid or anyone else that stepped in front of my car on purpose. Then say, “Oops, didn’t see him step out there”.
