How to get screwed in a race

depends on what your idea of throwin is man...LOL...if fighting is needed then it will get ugly.....fair fights are for rings.....I'd rather not come to that over small issues if I can help it.....not to mention you need to be choosy about who these scenarios go down with...just cause they push hard doesn't mean they won't tap out and cry police when they're getting ass whooped......trust me I speak from absolute ridiculous experience in this matter.....the older I get I realize more fists bring more problems then it was worth......I get people hacking me at the track as well some times I deserved it for making a not so clean pass.....other times I didn't deserve it and I'll race rough too....if I get broken I get broken....I wanted to race...I took the chance when my car was on the track.....I understand that they are serious damage causing lil toys......but unless someone is blatant about their tactics like this guy Supermaxx had then I just let it go as part of the racing experience.....I personally like it when it's all out w/ people on th esame skill level....as long as the marshalls are out of the way I like the crash derby nights at practice....it shows you what buggies are able to handle the serious abuse......and from what I've seen it's mugen or Xray all the way.....

#1 rule in street fighting is let them swing first..lol.. I havnt been in a fight in years, and would really doubt Id ever get in a fight over someone racing dirty. Yeah, Id give hima few stares, and maybe some "Kind" words, but to take it to the level of actually kicking his ass. Id doubt it. Unless someone like walked up and stood on my rc, then they might get a boot to the teeth. Id say just respect people as much as they respect you.. Thats kinda my code of life. But yeah, bisting someone in the chops could get pretty spendy.. Esp. if they have to go to the dentist..lol

Rule #2 ... The nutshot (even if just grazed) will be effective. Continue to rule #3 if necessary.

Rule #3 ... even the biggest man can't run you down if he can walk like a grasshopper. A shot to the side of the knee will have the biggest of the macho men crying like a baby.

well lets just be glad it was handled and only cost a couple of pipes. pipes can be fixed in the freezer, jaws and police records can't.

You need to see some of the pipes that sl0eg1n has destroyed ... not even reverse slow motion movie magic could fix them ... LOL

One of his pipes lost the battle with a cement curb at a local spot we go to. He was like a deer in headlights. Too busy watching the speed of his new gear setup and engine he forgot to take his finger off the throttle going into the sweeper. All I heard was "Thud .... waaaaa ...waaaa ... waaaa" then saw him running to the car. Damage was the rear side pulley and a pipe that wasn't only bent but had the stinger ripped off and dangling by the weld seam. All he could do was laugh and kick himself in the ass. I bought him a new pipe that same day on the way home as we stopped by the LHS. That pipe lasted about 3 weeks when I t-boned him so hard (hit second gear) that it dimpled the inside as it hit the midpulley and the stinger was folded against the pipe and pushed in.

LOL, even the Malachi brothers take each other out sometimes!

well like i said i dont want to have to throw fists or nuttin but if it comes doewn to it then i will have to show the old man whos who and if it costs me money then i will pay it but if i can handle it on the track then i will do so i have another race in 2 weeks and ill see if it happens again if so then its go time and beleive me he wont be back for more and thats a fact

pipes can be fixed in the freezer,

You peaked my interest.
How?
I have a few new pipes with big stinger hit's.
I know it's off topic, but I would like to fix them.

Plug the stinger and pressure fitting first. I do this to the header side with the rubber cap that come with new engines on the carb and exhaust. I also use one of those stinger caps that are used to keep the oil from dripping out while in storage or not in use. The pressure fitting, well I use a small version of what I use for the header side of the pipe.

Plug the stinger and pressure fitting (if using the caps, use zip tie to cinch them down). Fill the pipe with water and cap off the header side of the pipe and cinch down with a zip tie. Throw it in the freezer and the expansion of the water when freezing will push out the damage. Take note, sometimes it takes more than once to get it to a "Useable" form where tune will not be too bad.

has anyone over expanded one and tried the steel hose clamp and heat trick????
I saw one after it was supposedly done and it looked good.....

Race rage

Here's a trick my crew chief taught me when I was driving real race cars and it works great for RC racing too. The fact is at just about every track there is going to be some arssholes and the best way to deal with them is to turn the situation around. Racing takes your full attention 100% and if you are thinking about a clown that is giving you a hassel then you are not applying that 100%. Do the math. Be confident in your self and show that confidence! You let him rattel you and that cost you . DON"T let him rattel you . Intimidation goes a long way . I had a guy doing the same thing to me and my crew chief told me to glue him down the back straight that ment putting my front bumper on his rear at high speeds .I did this 2 or three times and it scared the hell out of him. Problem solved. The point is there is no need for fighting or bad mouthing just let him know his problem with you is HIS not yours. If he crashes into you then treat it like you would if you crashed and get back to racing

hey race thats a pretty good idea and i think i will keep that one in mind and also i dont think my pipe is fixable unless i have the stinger put back on when he hit me it ripped the stinger off and smahed the side of my pipe i already did the freezer thing and have the pipe almost done but now the stinger prob thanx me

scuff up the metal, and JBweld it back in place. you'd be surprised at how well it holds. and if it breaks again, your out the cost of a couple grams of JB weld.

thats wut i am in the process of doing right now but i have a buddy with a alum welder and he is going to brace it like jamins pipes are for just a couple of bucks but thanx for the idea

there ya go, better than J-B weld anyday. be carful tho, cause when i had some do my pipe like that, the inside of the stinger collapsed from the heat of the welder.
