Alright we’ve all been there when the mirror shine disappears and is replaced by around 1000 leafs and a tone of dirt.. Right? 😅🤣

I’m just throwing the question out there of how are you guys cleaning your nitro’s down? What is your process/technique?

This was the situation when I returned home yesterday from a few hours out in the dirt with the WR8 Cossy 🫣👀

And this is up to date progress after what felt like a never ending clean up 🤣 many of the Mrs make-up brushes and some APC later it’s returning back to its glory 👀

Any air compressor is on order as we speak which will make a dramatic difference no doubt 👌

Paper towels and q-tips for me, I'd bring a roll to the field and wiping down is much easier when the grime is fresh.

I didn't find sprays useful because they'd blow grit into joints and bearings.

I never got too muddy, but dust + nitro oil will form gunk aplenty.

Yeah I’m mainly using water and a few makeup brushes/baby wipes works a treat.

and yeah I’m doing clean downs after every day out to prevent just that 👌

I guess I'm the only one that tears every little piece apart and uses soap and water.🤪🫠
Only if I'm really going crazy or if I got the RC REAL muddy!!!

I clean every single part to as close to new as I can get it when I'm doing resto work. Its the best way to get up close and inspect each part for wear and damage.

😎👍

When they are getting stored for more than a few months, the motor gets removed, along with receiver, and I spray it off. I strip the engine and clean it. I put it up clean. Bearings oiled.

In between those, a q-tip and alcohol with a good wipe down with towels.

Air compressor, toothbrushes and the occasional tear down. I wonder how well medium pressure steam would work. You'd have to use it in very selective, very short bursts.
