how much fuel do you guys typically burn in a day?
I get my balls busted alot cause I'll run literally half gallon to 3/4 before a race when I go....so I end up breaking something during a race and everyone says you shouldn't run so much before a race....I'm curious how everyone else fares w/ fuel consumption

I don't run nearly that much, usually. The most I've burnt it a weekend was a gallon, but usually I run a gallon 2-3 weekends, sat and sunday.

we normaly only run on sundays but a gal last me about a month.. but i dont run non stop.. I'm ether fixing something on mine or someone elses.. or just letting it and me cool down a bit befor going again.. its been over 100 deg for the last like month during the afternoons..

OS 21 RG's are relatively fuel efficient, or so I've been told.

yeah they are until you try to mod them....LOL.... I lost 1.5 minute off a tank....can't race that one anymore...I'd have to pit 3 times in a 15 min. main

Since I dont have a job or anything to do in the summer, I am mostly driving my car every day. I try to cut down on fuel, so I am only using about 1-2 tanks a day in my RC10GT's 75cc fuel tank. I then just take out my mini-t or TT-01 and drive that so I dont use a ton of fuel.

I have only used a couple quarts so far lmao. I think if my back wasn't hurting so much I would easily use a quart everytime I went out!

I use 1-2 quarts each time out on a good day...
on a bad day i dont burn a tank lol

Plaidfish, you need to stop running so much in practice and start marshalling more :marshall: so the other guys can practice and break more.LOL That way You won't be burning up so much fuel or break something before the race start. ;)

I normally burn about a quart to a quart and a half (at the most) on race day. I fill my fuel bottle when I start the day and usually have a little fuel left in the bottle before the race starts. Then I will get about a half bottle of fuel for top off and refuel in the mains. If I have more than a half tank of fuel after the race I will suck most back out and burn off the rest. If its less than half tank in my truck I'll just run it til its dry. In practice I'm usually running first tank to test and tune and usually only to half a tank at a time. Then I marshal for a while and watch everyone else to see how the track is holding, what tires others are running, what works what doesn't. Then I will go back to my pit, check and set my toe, camber and ride height, change tires if needed. Then I will gas up and do a hard pratice run to get lap speeds and see if something is going to break. If I break before the tank is empty, I'll repair it, top off the tank and go again. If nothing breaks and I run out of fuel, I park it and marshal some more. Then I will clean up my truck, inspect it for loose screws, check for damaged parts, recheck setup change tires if needed. Marshal some more. Eat if I get hungry, walk around and BS and kill time until qualifying rounds. I usually run a little over half tanks in qualifiers (3 rounds). I started racing Nitro's in Feb. this year and am now on my 3rd gallon of fuel. I'm usually at the track every Wednesday (practice night) and Saturday (race day), unless its raining now that we are running outdoors.

pinblaster...I don't marshall during practice...actually no one does...but I am usually the first or second guy there on saturday busting ass to fix the track for the day.....I get tehre around noon and races start at 5 and go til around 10 or 11 depending how many classes run......I'll marshall during practice nights and if someone flips over close to me I definately flip em over...at least until I see they don't reciprocate the favor.....saturday iusually start draining if it rained or start shoveling to fill in the runoff channels from it having rained......then my pit partner / track keeper shows up and we turn it all w/ a sand witch and then roll it w/ som funky 3 wheeled roller tractor.....so I do my fair share of track upkeep when I go......as far as letting it rest....NEVER....if it's out at the track it better be ON the track.....

i burn almost a half gallon on race day. between before track practice, 3 quals, and the main, then some play time afterwards to suck some more of the gas truck guys into 8th scale. on a practice day, ill burn a half gallon or more easy.

a few tanks here and there. a gallon will last me about a month i geuss. I'm usually breaking something and then waiting on parts. i may go run a few tanks today

All depends if i'm running 2 classes or not. Right now i'm not burning up much, I hate breaking before a race.....

If I'm running with my friends at the club track, 2 quarts easily.
When racing, I use just a couple of tanks to warm up, and then a tank per qualifier.
Depending on what main I may wind up in will determine the amount of tanks for the main.
Usually a quart or 2 for the day.

Bashing?

3-4 tanks. Five if i'm with a lot of people.

Racing, a lot more.

Racing, I can use a little bit above a quart. When I used to bash inthe park with my other car, I would use about 1/2 gallon easily! Especially if I was just doing tank after tank and not letting her die. Splash and go, splash and go ... doesn't take much to go through 1/2 gallon
