ok I'm wondering what all kinds of trucks and cars there are

i know stadium trucks/ monstertrucks/ on road/drift
what other kinds are there in 1/10 scale

Add Crawlers, Scalers, Truggy and Buggy styles and you pretty much have the list.

Arnt truggys buggys and stadium trucks all in the same class for competition Races

idk my plan is to get one of each 1/10 scale class so i can do races in competitions and i need to learn what classes can compete with what like can buggys and stadium trucks be in same races ect or monster and stadium ect.

Usually monster trucks are in a class of there own along with stadium trucks being in there own class. Buggys and truggys race in same classes. Then you have 1/5 scale in there own class as well. You put a mt in a race with a buggy and truggy and your gonna get lapped repeatedly. Plus in those classes your not allowed to have a transmission. Center diffs only.

ok so ill need a buggy a monster a on road and a stadium as well as a short course and ill be good?

A truggy is based off a buggy. Pretty much set up the same with a center diff. Although example being between the losi 8 buggy and losi 8T truggy. The 8 comes with a .21 engine and the 8T comes with a bigger .28 engine. They both have center diffs and 4wd as well. I'm not as familiar with the flux or electric versions of these rigs. Trophy trucks I'm not as familiar with either. But i have noticed that all races I've seen of short course trophy trucks include all the same type trucks. I'm only imagining that truggies are the fastest and most desired race rigs. That is what I'm planning to build as my racer besides my revo. And i can only race the revo in mt classes and they are not allowed to have reverse in the transmission at all. If i install a center diff in it i can class it in with buggy and truggys but i will have my butt handed to me due to lack of power performance and handling of the truggys.

Ok so i got down what ill need but whats gunna be best a buggy or truggy 1/10 scale for speed and handling other than that i think i found all class races being short couse /monster/ stadium/onroad and drifting

1/8 scale truggy imo. Although I'm getting a losi 8 buggy too and they are both 1/8 scale. Dont believe anyone makes a 1/10 scale truggy. Both the losi and the hpi buggy and truggy I'm wanting are all 1/8 scale. Go to amainhobbies.com and check out the specs on the losi 8ight-T and the HPI trophy truggy 4.6 and the losi 8ight buggy also the HPI D8 buggy. IMO i prefer Losi for both rigs and I'm getting the truggy as a kit. I prefer losi rtr buggy because it comes with a spectrum dx3s and bump box and includes all telemetry for rx/tx. And for $699 thats a great price. I have the dx3c now but it doesn't have telemetry.

Almost no one (at least in my area races MTs, and while there are a couple of 1/10 truggies that are made the ones that get raced are 1/8 scale. 4WD buggies are also 1/8 scale. The 1/10 scale buggies are typically 2WD and some folks race them but again 1/8 Scale 4WD Buggies are dominate. Stadium trucks and SCTs are predominately 1/10 scale. Thats how it is in my neck of the woods anyway. Not sure about crawling, on road, or drifting as I've never owned those types of kits.

Probably what you should do is figure out what track or tracks you're gonna be racing at and see what they are racing and in what scales.

Yeah i agree. The track were building at my lhs new location will host everything from mt class sprint and all the way up to 1/5 scale. So thats why I'm just going straight to the 1/8 scale losi with a .28 and strong high torque savox servos. I will be racing my revo in the mt class also. I want the losi 8 just to have a good buggy and may or may not race it too.

true i think up here they got races for about every class mostly mt and onroad

i like my 1/10 scale being where i started and always stayed so i wanna get one of every 1/10 class and the 5 i said i think are the only 5 classes

please dont for get the drag racers. i have been in love with drag racing from 1955.

Some are larger than 1/10th scale. One of our members, Kenozzo, has some larger ones powered by jet engines.

Traxxas does make some dragsters and funny cars that are 1/10th scale.
