I've ordered my first nitro car coming from a classic controlled electric. I'm wondering how you brake driving a nitro car with a pistol controller?

Same as with an electric.

You push forward on the trigger and the throttle servo will engage the brakes.

I thought that would be the case, but i was wondering how well that would work with the time taken to move from acceleration to braking being to great to brake in time.

Brakes will work as fast as your trigger finger can apply them.

If your brakes aren't working effectively then you should turn the adjusting knob on the brake linkage to make it tighter. If that doesn't work, try spraying the brake disk and pads with some alcohol because they may have oil on them.

Hit the wall stops instantly but beware sudden stops of this nature are not car friendly.
