The Hyper 7 PCR, the MBX 9.5, and the GS Storm RTR? Not gonna do much racing if any, mostly just gonna be bashing. Thanks

The GS Storm comes with a great radio and the buggy is nearly indestructable. The Hyper 7 PRC is one the best, if not the best, buggies Ofna puts out. Don't know much about the MBX 9.5 except it does not compare to the Hyper 7.

imo the ofna pcr hands down is the best ofna buggy on the market today.ofna offers great support.for there products.parts are avaible every were on the net and probley at your lhs also..
as far as the storm goes i have heard many good and bad things.like its hard to find parts...I've looked all over the net and hardley ever see parts for them...

The old saying is what does your local hobby shop carry, so if you need parts in a hurry you can go there to get them. If you are like me it takes an hour and a half round trip to my lhs, and they carry very little. So I order stuff on a monday on line and have it by the weekend, works well. I suggest the Ofna pcr or pbs, they are the ones we bash and have good luck with them. I am not to up on the storm but hear they are a good buggy.

The storm is a little hard to find parts online but any HobbytownUaSsA carries their parts locally.

Werid, there's four hobby town USA's over here and none of them carry any storm parts at all. One of them never even heard of GS as a company.

But there's two other shops in the area that do carry GS so it's not a big deal. Of course with the current GS distribution issues they are hard to find anywhere.

I don't mind ordering everything online, order monday or tuesday and you'll have it before the weekend.

Hobby town is a hit or miss chain. I have one in rockford IL that is pretty good. The main dude running it is very honest. Doesn't try to bullsh** his way through a sale. If he has a POS engine to sell, he lets you know it's probably a POS. I've found that he personally runs damn near every engine he sells so he can actually help his customers.

However, there is one in Aurora IL that just flat out sucks. I'm not spending another dime there. I think the "mechanic" there just sits at home to think up lies he can try to sell. I've spent over $1000 at this place and he still tries ripping me off continually. It's almost like he doesn't realize that there is an internet that I can find prices on or something.

Haha, that's what I think whenever I see a storm rtr on the shelf for $599 at some of the LHS's around here.

cbreaer, you sid that there is a hobbytown near you that doesn;t even now that GS is a company. If this is true, then I would first tell the manager of the store that the RC person doesn;t know crap then I would never buy anything from taht store untill they got someone in there that knows what they are talking about.

As far as the first question goes. I love my storm RTR. I have not had any problems finding parts. The things that I needed were just a click away. I have went to Horizon, Hobbytown USA, and Stormer hobbies for my parts.

Indeed, all I purchased from the store was some cans of paint and I gave them a really funny look the whole time after they said "what's GS?"

I haven't been there since =)

Maybe things are different up here in the northeast. Honest to god, all four hobbytown usa's I've called (mostly around boston) do not stock any GS stuff at all, even silicone type things. It's really odd.

I have kinda a different view on parts being the deciding factor on choosing a buggy. I guess that's because all the buggies are equally unsupported =) You have just as much luck finding a GS part then you would the Ofna part you need. And forget about anything more exotic like Kyosho or XTM parts. My view is if you can get parts online at a good price and easily, then you're okay.

I am slowly building a stock of replacement parts for my buggy. I know I'll never have ALL the parts I'd ever need, but then again when was the last time your radio box broke, or both bulkheads at the same time? So far I've had any parts I need for a repair in my own box.
