how crazy would you get?

I donno where this goes but it's surely an RC thread.

I've seen a few rc videos now and I really haven't seen anything that great. I saw some vid with a car being run through a burning pool of nitro and that EK4 video was pretty sweet. I also saw one where guys were launching nitro trucks into the air off a skate ramp. Outside of that all the RC videos are just little jumps and junk.

My theory is everyone is afraid to break their investments.

To prove this, how many of you have or would:

jump your rc off a half pipe?
jump it off your house?
run your rc car in a spiral fashion around the inside of a large pipe (like a culvert)?
run your rc at full throttle over a long distance and slam into a jump knowing you might catch 20-30 feet of air?
drive your real car behind your rc car to see how fast it really goes?
jump your rc car off a 5+ story building?

I have little money for repairs. I answer no to all, but I'd like to see people try.

R/C BASE jumping would be sweet (extra channel for parachute release). You ever see those base jumpers do a full back flip? I think an rc could do that.

I have seen videos like that, but those folks have financial backing or sponsors so they have the freedom to break stuff because there is no out of pocket expense. At least for the ones I have seen. I have seen a bunch of guys chasing their buggy in their car to see how fast they go. Not a very fun video to watch, but its pretty cool

Check out X's site. there is a video of a buggy getting CRAZY air off of a skate ramp. That is sure to impress.

I am more into videos that will make people want to go out and run their cars. Not something that will make a guy say "Thats crazy... why would you want to do that for." I want to make people hype about the hobby. Make an owner want to go out and run, or if you dont have an rc, I want to make you want to go out and buy one.

How bout a video of me getting hit on the foot by a 1/8th scale going 75mph.

mayhem and I have done some pretty crazy stuff like jumpdown a hill and be in the air for about 25-30 feet and Mayhem jumped about a 6-7 foot tall snow bank and cleared his brother who was standing on top of it total of about 12-13 foot high well do some more this weekend and get some video

I've ran inside a sewage? water main? pipe before.

it wouldnt get going from a stand still so i got up good speed and went inside and di many many loops before it got to the edge and fire out into the air like an r/c cannon ball. didnt break "much".

i also jumped over my friends pool. the short way i made it but he didnt and ker-plunk.....rebuild time lol. he needed one anyway.

i look at it like this.....I'm going to break something ...might aswell break it doing something wild. i mean hitting a curb and breaking an arm is boring. hitting a curb sliding sideways while towing a custom car with the kitten in it while on ice and breaking an arm ...thats fun...kitty was fine.

I saw the video on the frc page. That really did make me want to run my car. I like the off-road thing better as you can take it more places, but damn the cars in that video can fly.
