How come I'm getting only 4 gallons out of my engines??

Oh man....every 4 to 5 tanks!!?? And to think I was going on the, "let it run til you can't see the filter through the dirt no more" approach. Think I've earned the knuckle-head award this time.

Yea, that is a long time not to clean it...hell, I'm so anal that I clean it if it has just a few specs of dust on it!

Umm... yeah... I clean mine when it's coated in dirt. A lot of times, it takes awhile to get dirty, but I'll clean it after an hour or so of running at the local refinery. But when running in the park or at the skate park, it doesn't hardly get dirty at all.
