Today my hobbywing max8 4074 2200kv combo started randomly stopping. The red light on the esc was blinking, which means it was entering low voltage cutoff mode. After about 10 seconds it would drive again. I know my batteries weren't empty. Esc and motor were not getting hot at all. Any ideas?

The manual says that the flashing red led could also mean that the neutral throttle value stored in the esc is diffrent from the value stored on the transmitter. So I recalibrated it. Didn't fix it. But I did notice that the Servo wasn't centering correctly. First it didn't center, when I would try to trim it, after a little bit it would center to where ever I set the trim. So this means it's probably the radio system, right? I'm at my family's summer cabin right now, so I can't try a diffrent radio yet.

I would recommend doing a full charge on both the car battery and the transmitter. It's always best to start with the simplest solution. You just might be having a charge issue that causes your ESC to blink the warning. Almost any battery will pick up a little charge after sitting and that's what it sounds like is happening. Do the full charge first and then get back to us with the results.

How old is the lipo? Maybe it's dying on you? As they age, they don't perform as well or store as much. Mine usually drop a cell before I get too annoyed with the amount of charge they hold or lack of performance.

It was my radio. Switched to my cheaper radio and it works fine now.

It's got the same problem again, probably because of my battery. The corner is super puffed, it's junk now.

Mine is also doing the same thing on fully charged batteries. They are new also. Runs for a couple min then does it again
