Idk stuff is advancing every day. Soon there would be no more stuff to advance lol.

They haven't updated their modified motors since the G3 series which is atleast like 5 years old at this point or older. Or maybe it's just because spec/stock you try to get the most amount of everything out of your motors

I'll be sticking with my G4R for a long time atleast. Heck my uncle still runs a G2 modified in his wheeler lol

Ha. Now that'd be a good fit for my Bandit Buggy build. Do like that HW continues to offer two ports for the sensor lead. Adds flexibility to an install.

@Cubaka Good point on the vented can. Probably work o.k. for on-road and today's blue groove clay and carpet tracks. Ran a vented can HW on my grasstrack GT10 elec. conversion. Picked up so much grass, trash and misc. detritus I warpped a protective screen around it. Bad idea. Burned the motor up. HW was gracious enough to warranty it. Felt bad about it later as it was more likely my fault. Thinking HW is promoting the vented can as extra cooling and lighter weight. But possibly, this Bandit and their other motors tend to run hot anyway? Esp. with timing adjustable out to 60deg.

Anyway, glad they are offering it. Were my focus not now on sensorless installs on my RC's, I'd buy into one. Thanks for the heads up, David.

Cheers. -AC

On my previous G4 (non bandit one) it stayed usually under 150 in my wheeler. Around I think 45 degrees of timing, but conservative gearing.

Ideally it's a race motor. If I were to bash id be getting a sealed can motor like the sensored motors that come with the Max10 g2 although they don't have adjustable timing and stuff like the high end race motors.
