Hey guys need some help

I installed the high capacity fuel tank on mine. You remove the AA battery tray and use that extra space! That's what the battery tray under the chassis is there for anyway...

Anyway... Good luck on the conversion, TWOCANE! Let us know how it's coming!

There going to have a monster truck class so mant people have MT's so I have the upper hand there :) Now about lowering the center of gravity. Can the muggy shocks be used on LST2 stock arms? all I need are the shocks and towers? Can I use muggy shock shafts in my stock LST2 shocks??

From RC Planet's Muggy review:

As was seen earlier, the massive shocks that were first used on the LST find a home on the Losi Muggy as well. These shocks hold plenty of shock oil, providing superior dampening capabilities when compared to shocks with smaller volumes. The larger amount of oil simply doesn’t heat up as fast in these large shocks, keeping their action nice and consistent for longer periods of time. The threaded shock bodies are aluminum, and use adjustable plastic collars to facilitate easy preload adjustment. The spring retainer locks into place on the shock’s lower rod end, while the 4mm stainless steel shock shaft provides plenty of strength for the multi-holed piston head. The plastic shock cap features a small screw which makes bleeding the shocks extremely easy when rebuilding them.

Guess they are the same shocks???

I think if you get the muggy towers then when the arms are at full extension, the spring retainer on the bottom of the shock may make contact with the arm itself. You may need to get the muggy lower arm mounts as well to avoid that.

You may need the whole bulkhead assembly to add the Muggy towers. They look different than the LST2. Pics on the way.

thanks guys!! I am stoked about getting to race I just want you guy tell me the best set up for racing.I am one of the few LST owners. People have heard of them and trip whenn they see mine. The only HS in clarksville only sells 10th scale traxxas and Savage.

Only advice I can give is add the sway bar kit. Best mod I made to my LST besides the extended tank. It really helps it keep it's line in the turns!

I am getting the muggy shafts to use in my stock LST2 shock bodies,I have read I am able to. So I will change shafts, then if somebody wants help out (hint ,hint) and figure out the center diff with me Taz, OLDS,RC ADDICT,Frickenjoey, etc.

So why do you have to change out the shock shafts over to Muggy shafts anyway ? Are you still gonna go with the Titanium ones ?
Actually a buddy of mine, Donxavier, just did the same thing(muggify) to his LST2, so I will check with him and see what all he had to do.;)
I know he had to do the center diff thing for sure.:D

:goodpost: That's for darn sure, I am running the smaller of the two sets of sway bars(LOSB2221) both in the front and rear......I wasn't really 'Big' on the bigger ones:hehe:, they were almost too stiff for me, but you can try them snd see how you like 'em.:D You may also want to go with the yellow 7.4 Springs as well, which I am also running along with 100wt shock oil.;)

I have the sway bars on both ends. I need the right tire and suspinsion set up.

Well, I'm not a racer either. Just a fairly hardcore basher.

Basically, I can tell you how to build a truck to go through a brick wall and perhaps take part of that wall with it.

For handling on a track... yeah, that's not me.

thats cool RC Addict. What I am going to do is like what is on the race set up that TAZ sent tm. I need to do the forward only convfersion shange springs and get pin king tires . I need to no how to do the FOC.

can you help give me pointers on the FOC?

Does this fit in like the tranny?

The FOC goes inside the tranny and replaces a good chunk of your parts. I have an aftershock, so it started out as a FOC single speed trans.

I don't know if the FOC replaces the hi/lo in the LST* trans, but it definitely does away with the reverse mechanism. Lightens it up quite a bit and makes it more responsive.

Yes, but with the FOC kit you still have a two speed. If you are still going to convert the LST2 to truggy specs you need the center diff (one speed). If you are going to run a MT class then I am sure the two speed is OK (but get their rules to be sure) since MT's usually are two speed.
