that is a killer motor, but make4 sure you swap out that filter for the hpi one.. its way better. that filter will let all kinds of stuff come thru.. but sweet mill. kinda wondering what you got it for. and what are you doing with the stocker? may need one for a futer roller I'm getting

i traded off my e-savage for it i might keep the stock one for back up i dont know yet lol

i would keep it. its really not worth much if you sell it. you'll probly never need to use it for a spare thow. I've kept spare mills for years and they just sit their. but its good to have couse sometimes you may see i good deal on a roller, or somebody may need a loner. redcats coming out with a 5th scale rolling chassis pretty soon. and what do you know.i sold all my spare motors.. and my "loner" has been on lone for 5 gallons..lol

i am finally getting around to putting this bad boy in my baja i started the tear down but i have to get another torx tool the one that came with the kit twisted so it may have to wait till the weekend to put back together will put up some pics then

If I was you I would go ahead and put metal screen on the bottom of the engine while it is out...I need to on mine. Outerwares or no outerwares it still sucks grass and clogs the engine cooling fins up.

Hard to do a picture while the engine is in but look up the Slammer Dams on Daves....I am doing the same thing but with aluminum screen wire.....good bit cheaper too. I just pirated the idea.

If you want that stroker to push out all the hps and make you cream your jeans hit that mill up with a Boost_It boost bottle setup and a Goped Kicker 7.2v ignition with rechargeable Ni-cad from MSD...That thing will be an ultra beast and would be the fastest thing on 4 wheel 1/5 scale converted to a 15-17:1 comp methanol huffer if theyd make a drivetrain to hold up to it for longer than 5 mins;-lol...

The stock engine is a perfect engine to keep as a spare or to dabble in a DIY engine hop-up..Good Luck

Heres going to be my next project but with 40mm 17:1 methanol billet head kit and looking into a 4wd conversion;-lol

As soon as I can find a suitable donor this is the kit I'm gonna use to make it sikk..

dang it i went to switch over all the clutch parts and i did not no i needed a clutch plate puller so i am stuck till i get one i may just put it all back together stock till i get that puller or just save up and buy more clutch parts then i wont have to switch the parts back and forth oh well lol

Just to throw this out there.....those boost bottles really dont do anything for performance. Snake oil my friend, snake oil.
