If you gear it properly you should be ok. Dont know how it will perform in the maxx but as long as it is geared properly and doesn't run hot it should be fine to run it in anything you want.

What's a good gearing for it ya think?

I have a hobbywing esc ezrun an I can't seem to get brakes, I did exactly what it says, tried it over an over, I'm using the old traxxas 27ghz remote that came with the tmaxx the one you gota switch the red button up to go reverse could this be why I can't get brakes??

That motor is a 380XL can size which I'm assuming is a can size for planes Since the only can sizes I've seen for ground kits that is close is 380 and 380L. The 380L is good for 1/12 or light weight 2WD 1/10 scale kits so if its an inrunner and the mounting holes lined up you could probably use it in a ground kit but it would be to small for a MAXX. A MAXX should be considered a 1/8 scale 4WD MT for all intents and purposes. Traxxas says its 1/10 scale but its closer to a 1/8 scale MT than a 1/10.

It's a pretty big motor, it's alittle bigger than my hobbywing xerun 4168 motor, an it's a 1/8th scale

It can't be that big....the motor you gave a link to is only 28.2mm in diameter and a standard 540 can motor for a 1/10 scale kit is 35.8mm

Eiither that or it not the same motor as the one you linked

I'm not sure what it is, that's just what I was told from hobbytown

How do I do that?Length x height x width? Lol

Can some one plz tell me why I can't get my electric converted tmaxx to have brakes??

If you’re using the stock Tmaxx 2 speed transmission the motor can not be used for braking, you have to use the mechanical brake due to the one way bearing required for the 2 speed.
If you lock the 2 speed transmission in 2nd with a plate or convert it to single speed you can then use the motor as a brake and reverse.

Is it a kit? Could u tell me the part number?

Single speed conversion for the black transmission is part # 5193X, none availiable for the grey transmission.

Locking plates are custom parts and I dont have any left at this time.

How much are they if you did? What they look like?
