i have a major noodle scratcher...I have a TT-mta4 basically the same car as a TA-mgt..now to the problem at hand, NO DRIVE,
when the gear box is out of the car everything is free and easy no damage to any internals (Bevel gears.clutch hub, pinnion gears) when you spin cva everything is sweet.. (no friction no sign of any bad noise no grinding)
The problem starts when the G-b is strapped to the chassis..there is a small amount take off then the car goes into melt down...it stands still and throws it's rattle out of the pram! ,,,I've stripped and cleaned the G-b re-greased bevel gears re-greased front and back dive hubs after five attempts i turned to t'iniernet and swallowed my pride and ask any of you nitro GODS for help of any kind. had nitro for about 5 years and never had this kind of problem before, just a brief list of what i've tryed .

I've stripped and cleaned the G-b re-greased bevel gears re-greased front and back dive hubs
checked slipper clutch (adjusted and stripped and turned around ((dunno why???)) )
engine and spur all ok
clutch shoes and springs all ok
Any help or Suggestions (AND NOT TAKE A BIG HAMMER TO IT!!! PLEASE) would be most welcome

Do you still have reverse in it? If so it could be that the reverse is partially engaged. If not...I'm pretty sure there is a one way bearing somewhere in the tranny (gb) and that may have gone bad.

G-b? "Rattle out of pram"?

I'm guessing g-b is referring to the gear box or transmission... but I don't have the slightest as to what "Rattle out of pram" means.

imagine a baby having a crying fit because you have taken away its favorite toy....as a result it is throwing its "RATTLE OUT OF IT'S PRAM" it's just the way i say having a hissy fit..sorry maybe i should be clearer...
