Please can someone help I have just purchased a hoboa vse ready to run with 100amp esc I’m running 7.4v 2s lipos it’s not really fast can I use 4s lipos on same esc

A HoBao Hyper VSE if i deciphered your mysterious writing correctly? That's an 8th scale buggy with an 8th scale system. You'll need 2 to 3 times more cells. Aka 4s for fun or 6s for even more fun.

*IF* that is your buggy.

If it's the HoBao VSE, the ESC is a 150A Hobbywing that is rated for up to 6S, unless you got it used and someone changed the ESC. The motor should be a 2000KV 3660 or 3665. Specs for that car are a bit lacking, but the electronics should be the same, if they are stock, as the HoBao VS2.

A 1/8 scale buggy with a 4068 2000kv motor craves 4S LiPo power. I bet the Hobbywing 100A RTR ESC is 4S rated indeed.

I'm not aware of a Hobao VSE with a 100A ESC, so if there is such a thing, drop a link to it so we can see what you're talking about.

If you're referring to the Hobao Hyper VTE then run it on 4-6S and if that still isn't fast enough use a bigger pinion. Keep an eye on your ESC and motor temps though and don't burn it up.

The are different versions of the Hyper VSe out there. "...C100xx" or the "...C150xx" model numbers. I know they had a Hobbywing RTR 100A ESC in them wired to use dual 2S LiPo packs.

Ahhhh, good to know. I guess because he was talking about getting more speed, my head went straight to the VTE cuz I know people speed run those. I wasn't aware of the VSe but on Hobao's website I don't see one with a 100A ESC just the C150 model. I wonder if the 100A version was an older discontinued model?
