I have a nitro rustler and would like to lower it more. I know the basics of my truck but I'm not really sure about aftermarket parts. I was wondering if i should buy shorter shocks or should i cut my current ones? if you guys recomend getting new shocks, which ones? please and thank you

p.s. also if i can get some help with choosing foam tires

I don't believe you can/should cut your current ones. You can put fuel line or o-rings around the shaft inside the shock below the piston. This will limit how far the shock extends.

Assuming you are looking for foam tires to race on asphalt, you should consider the Anaconda street tires that Traxxas has for the Jato. I have them on my sons e-rustler and they work great on asphalt.

Robs tires worked great at the track last week.
I would use shock shaft spacers inside the shocks or fuel tubing if you have to. The secret is to not go to low / short on the shafts. you need some droop to keep the wheels on the ground while you are turning.
