heres the dilema..
i want to haul my gooseneck trailer with the scx6 but the reciever is meant to couple onto a normal 1/10 ball hitch.
i have a spot on the bumper i can secure the ball too but its too short of a screw. i need one thats about 10mm longer! i havent a clue as to what this screw would be called. i have so far only been able to find them WITH the reciever arm as a kit, but the screws are all the same length and wont work for my project.

Do you need a 5.5mm ball stud?

When I measure it on the pic, I get 6.5mm ball and 11mm thread length? I was going to suggest thinning the mount (if possible) until you can get a nut on it or use a threaded insert if there's enough "meat" in the mount? Or plug it and drill a minor diameter hole so it screws into the plug (no nut). Or Epoxy?...

I'd have to see the mating part to get a better understanding.

Would a stand off get you where you need to be? Does the ball just need to be higher in the chassis? Or do you need a longer threaded shank to get through the chassis

longer shank yeah

Perfect, and counterbore the other side for the depth?
Just drill through same diameter as the outer diameter of the sleeve. Sleeve length needs to be shorter than bumper is thick.
