To compare the Lightning Pro to a Geo Metro is totally off and just plain dumb. If you want to make a correct comparison, atleast use something like an Ofna LX as an example.

For those of you who say the regular Kyosho 7.5 is so much greater than a Lightning Pro, please give reasons why. Hell, please give us reasons why a $600+ Kanai II is worth $400+ more than a $200 Lightning Pro chassis for club racing? Note: Because you have money to blow is not an answer.

i compaired it to the others in its price range.. and feel the lightnin ghad more bang for the buck, if i had a oppertunity to drive the other ptions i would have but ened up talkign to those who did, and was told it was easier for a beginner to go straight vs the ofna which is "squirrly" for new people.. i feel the lightning pro is a great basher for the cost.. and plan to take it to its full potential.. but not go too insane..

It cracks me up when all these people jump in and defend the Lightning Pro. I'm not the only one on this bandwagon.

I was set to buy a GS Storm when I called my LHS to ask if they stocked parts for it. They told me about the Lightning Pro. These guys are very serious about their buggies. Most of them run Kyoshos and Mugens with the fancy european engines. For them to recommend the Lightning Pro (given the price range), it's a big compliment.

It's not a fad NoviceRob made up. The Lightning Pro is what everyone says it is -- a good bang for the buck.

What buggies can you fire up and run for under $450? Of those buggies, which one is the better buy? That's the question. I'm going to continue to tell people it's the Lightning Pro.

Why do we go around and around with this? You have the money to spend on this hobby. I don't. You have snazzy buggy with a snazzy European engine. I have buggy and engine made by 7 year old Taiwanese kids in a sweatshop. (Ho Bao love you long time.)

Different people. Different budgets. Different buggies. It’s all good.

i have to agree w/ Humboldt on the comparo to the champion buggy thing... but all Rob is sayin' is that for the price, you can't get a better buggy... and i agree, unless you buy the storm arr (if they are still available)

The Storm ARR was discontinued.....what a shame. Just found out Proline is making a CP for the Storm # PRO310800. I was using the Inferno CP which required some modifications

Screw it Mj just get the Hyper 7 and bust Humboldtblazers ass, lol. Actually if your just bashing I would suggest the Storm, that is one thing they ARE good at but on a serious note if your just going to use it to bash and occansionaly hit the track I would get the mp 7.5 rtr and just upgrade as needed because after building my Kanai II I have noticed that I am VERY carefull with it out on the street getting it tuned in because I remember how much I spent building it and that isnt good for bashing. You can't go wrong with any buggy for bashing (with some exceptions, i.e duratrash)but I would deffinetly go to the LHS and ask them whats parts they carry most of and that would be the best bet since bashing does do a good job of trashing.

if you are bashing... go w/ the 7.5 rtr. everything on there is a downgrade from the storm. 2 shoe clutch, very, very, very crappy engine. The only "plus" is that if you wanna match the k2 all you have to do is buy about 800 dollars worth of replacements to get there. sheesh.

LMAO, you are funny man. I just brought up the hyper 7 cause I know how much you love them. Actually the hyper 7 is now the backup for my Kanai II. Now what were you saying about hating you cause I wanted to be you??
