I was home for lunch, and one of the neighbors were having DSL installed. I guess the local DSLAM (DSL access switch) was full, so they just unplugged mine to make room for a new customer. I've had the same service, in the same location, for five years now. Stay classy Frontier.

That would tick me off. That's like when someone steals cable they just unhook their neighbors cable.

That was brilliant. Someone needs to have new on torn, for that.

We had Charter cable, here. They dropped my state like a hot rock, and left us with fly by night called Cobridge. Apparently, Cobridge got bought up by Roadrunner. We found out, when they started redirecting us to their account set up page, when we tried to access our home pages. I thought that was illegal. I had to edit my hosts file, just to get to my own forum, on my own website.

My DSL has been acting up since they did a software upgrade for the IP v6 upgrade. It's always fun to have my service quit in the middle of a movie download.....

I'm on epb fiberoptics. No complaints. I'm pretty computer savy, but if any of you know why one router is faster than the other, i'd be happy to know why? I have a nice cisco gaming router we used for a long time. A week or so ago our internet speeds went down bad, from like 30 megs to .75 and 1.5, I was going to call our provider but decided to switch routers just to see what was up. Switching routers fixed the problem. Channel selection on the router was set to auto, the ssid was custom, network was secured. I tried resetting the router and had the same issue even after a router reset? I'm on a old linksys now and it works fine. The good router we had been using was a nice linkskys/cisco gaming router.
