My first soldering job looked worse, and I spent hours watching my dad solder electronics. Kudos for teaching the kiddos! My son is only 9, and I just about let him try soldering for the first time the other day, but I don't think it is quite that time yet.

She came out to garage and asked can I try I thought about it for a sec. But haven the broken ankle not much to do and she's always trying to work on cars with me so said F**k IT she can only get a burn LOL I was surprised

My dad could build a tv from parts if he wanted to. I watched him build numerous circuit boards from scratch, and he fixed any electronic that ever failed in our house. But he never once tried to teach that to me. Such a waste. So my son will get to try it soon. I am just not very good when it comes to electronics. This week we are tackling the airbrush though! That is more my speed
