If I were looking to upgrade my Futaba 4PL to something a little more current, what would you guys suggest? Budget wise id like to stay at or under $300.

Is the MT4 still a good transmitter? Is there a newer version of it out? I know that Futaba updated the 4PL with the 4PLS but I can't remember if the MT4 was ever updated. Anyways I'm open to your guys thoughts :)

Unless you are needing any of the new features and the 4PL is working fine, why bother to upgrade?

I'm still using a 4PK despite Futaba offering several upgraded options over the years. It ain't broke so I haven't fixed it.

I will admit being enticed by the new 4PX though.

I agree with Robmob. The newer models look pretty neat but haven't given me any reason to upgrade my Futaba 4PL. Love that thing!

I'm also pretty stoked about the 4PX, I was just about to do the 4PL, since I suddenly need 4 channels, but amain sent out an email about pre-ordering the 4PX, an I'm starting to think that if I just save a few more bucks I can have a go at the latest model. Plus 30% faster sounds interesting, not that I do anything that requires 30% faster.

I suppose your right...I guess I just liked all the bells and whistles when I upgraded from teh DX6i to the DX8 and was thinking of upgrading my 4PL but I suppose its not important. I just wish my 4PL was backlight though lol.

The 4PLS is back lighted and it has telemetry. I have the 4PLS and I like it so far, been going thru the manual & checking out the features.
