Tired of your Radio Shack Soldering iron?
For just a few dollars more I just got this soldering station.

I ordered it on Wednesday and got it on Friday. I purchased my ultrasonic cleaner from them a while back. They have some great tech stuff for good prices.

The soldering station isnt laboratory quality but its hands above my $30.00 Weller pencil. It make soldering battery packs a simple and fast chore. If your looking to step up, this is a good product for a great price.

Soldering battery packs? Damn man, did you forget this is RC Nitro Talk, :D

J/k man, nice find, that's a nice deal, and looks like a nice station.

Dont worry, I still keep a can of nitro around. When I get the urge, I huff a bit and it keeps the "Jonze" away,

Nice find. I use the Hakko 936 for my electrics. I just plug it in, set the thermostat and leave it on all day.

I saw them at my LHS. From what I hear they are a good unit. If I find myself racing every weekend I will most likely get one for the pit.

For now at less then half the price, this one will do for the workbench. Its more of a replacement for the $35 pencil unit I seem to replace every year or so. For $10 more its a great find.

uh-oh. someone is starting to get bit by the electric racing bug. pretty soon your going to purchase a comm lathe, a turbo 35 GFX, a motor dyno etc.

The fun never stops.
For me nitro is great and will never be replaced but at this time electric is more practical.

We took a Hakko apart and found that this soldering station is exactly like the Hakko. The internal parts have the same chips, circuit boards, and components as my friends Hakko 936 with a 907 iron.

This leads me to believe (ASS-U-ME) that they are all OEMd out of the same factory.

I just picked one up....Now I need to learn how to use it.Befor I try to do my new esc and batts...

First thing you will want to get is a broad tip.
You can order it from the same people or from a Hakko dealer.
Sorry I forgot to mention that in my post.

Cool I now need some thing to solder LOL..
Nice looking unit here. Do you have a part number??

Yeah, but not jewelry! ;) ine was originally purchased for commercial use in the family business. I had a dirty r/c in hand one day and had to try it out! Needless to say, I've been happy ever since. LOL
