Nice what ride are you dropping it in?

DON'T USE THE K&N FILTER!!!!! It lets too many little particles through. Get yourlself a quality filter for that mill.

that K&N will look nice on a shelf queen but please dont run it, your motor will better appreciate a 1 or preferably 2 stage foam filter.

I'm a little confused by this. K&N's are supposed to be the best filtering devises on the market. The oil should prevent anything ultra fine coming in.

That's what i would think,i can't really see why it wouldn't work.

It works fine on a 1;1 car, but these little engines are very sensitive to fine particles of dust. Try a filter from OS or ofna your wallet and that mill will thank you.

they don't filter particles at the same level the foam filters do...not even on 1:1 cars...but on 1:1 cars you can get away w/ letting in SUPER FINE dust but the small engines we use get tore up from it......K&N designed something for more air to get in.....that's great on a large 4 stroke engine....besides the K&N filter on RCs get clogged WAY faster than the 2 stage foams do....

Pick up a motor saver filter for a savage... The K&N filters just dont filter good enough, no matter what the sellers or LHS says... All of these K&N filters you see are supposed to be breathers for 1:1 gas tanks, or rear ends. They arent meant to filter at the extreme levels that rc's need.

Yeah, ditch the filter and get a motor saver filter. Yes them are one of the best ya can buy for your vehicles, but they still have some work to do with there Rc filters.

they are the best, for full scale auto's. your nitro engine is extremly sensitive to fine dirt and dust. a full size cars engine can digest fine dirt and dust and keep on going, they have rings to seal them, oil filters to protect them from contaminants, they are built totally different from a nitro engine. a nitro engine is sealed by a very finely machined pinch, thier fuel is their oiling system, and they have no way to expel contaminants other than the exhaust port. which as it just so happens by the design of the engine, to be a better place to ingest dirt that expel it by way of reverberating exhaust pulses. keeping dirt out to begin with is of the utmost importance for a nitro engine.

a 2 stage foam filter with oil on both stages is arguably the best filter you can run. sorry to dissappoint you, but hopefully we can save you from a short engine life on that rather expensive engine.

When you say two stage, I am a little confused. I have an O.S. filter to which I installed a slip on foam pre-filter. By definition this is now a two-stage filter, correct? Or is a two stage filter that you are referring to different than this?

I think hes meaning where the ones with the little foam doughnut shaped filter under the main solid filter.

a two stage has a fine dense foam cyclinder inner filter and a coarse foam outer filter.. the outer stops the big stuff (there is normaly a screen in there to) and the fine stops the small stuff.. just keeps your inner from clogging up so fast..

thats a 2 stage. prefilter, and a main filter.
