hi everybody,

happy new owner of an RC10 GT2 RTR, my first nitro RC car ever,

however only ten tanks into ownership i have already destroyed the stock tires, now i realize that the soft dirt tires are NOT good for asphalt,

i'd like to have two sets of wheels and tires - one for dirt and one for street

I'm not familiar with wheel / tire sizes, can you gurus help me choose a good street tire / nice looking rims (combo) that will fit on my RC10 GT2???

Thanks in advance!!!!

I hear Road Rage tires on Associated Velocity wheels are good. I don't really know anything at all about Associated though, but I do know this is a good tire. ;)

are my stock rims 2.2" i measured them but they are like 2.5" diameter and MAYBE 2.2" wide. Are RC tires measured by width???

I think they are measured by the groove that the tire goes into, not the outer fringe of the rim.

The pro-line road rage tires hold up really well. I ran sets of those on my jato and my old xxx-nt when pavement bashing was happening. However, when it's below 70F, they don't hook up very well and you get a lot of spinouts.

JUST BOUGHT AND mounted Proline Road-Rage II's.........

only problem is, 5 minutes before that, i snapped a front control arm. DAMN IT!!!!

Thanks for the advice fellas..... 2.2" fits

thanks for the advice, brotha.

but you're too late.

I already installed the RPM a-arms and RPM wide bumper before i read your post :) pics coming soon

Did you use the road rage tires for only the rear or both front and rear?

i also learnt that stock dirt tyres arnt very good for the road haha
now i only run my 1:8 buggy on the dirt and my 1:10 (with the stuffed tyres) on the road
makes a 1/2 decent drift machine lol well it does power slides haha so its kinda a learning process for drifting i guess :P
