i am going to run the mip superdiffs for sure but i am undecided on the cvd's

I'd go with the MIP's, they seem to have the stronghold on 1/18th parts.

That actually sounds like what I'm running, except i got the mamba setup, and the plastic stock dogbones have been doing just fine.

i love this tekin setup. i prefer it over the mamba 25 right now. less cogging and runs SUPER cool. i would say after 15 mins of running, the motor temp was around 100-110

dude I think you have my old MT lol. I sold it with the tekin mini rage and 6800 and extra mini rage esc to kingkawi. I just realised it while going through the FS threads.

haha, cool. i haven't run the mt yet but the T has been doing great. I've got big plans for both. Right now i am thinking about doing the following tp both of them

Full mip drivelines. cvd's and super diffs.
Rpm arms
golden horizon steering assembly and rear hingepin holder
Lunsford turnbuckles and hingepins
factory team caster blocks, steering blocks, and rear hub carrier
tekin mini rage 6800 on both. (just need to get a motor)
Maxamps 3S 1550
rubber sealed boca or fast eddy bearings

I guess thats it. I have to get a full price list from tower and see what kind of damage thats gonna do.


Any opinions?

RPM Shock Towers...You won't regret them. They made a noticeable difference on my ride. Like $9 for front/rear set from tower.

looks like its going to run around $550 to get them where i want them. They would be strong, long lasting and super fun trucks but man o man thats some coin.

My RC18 is the one r/c I could care less how much money was put into it. It handles like a dream, is faster than most r/c out there, and looks pretty cool. It gets complements everywhere I take it.

"Oh! How does that thing go so fast! There's no WAY!!!1!1111one"

Then I take the lid off, they see a tiny motor, little lipo battery, and realize it weighs nothing. They're still confused. It's amazing, especially among older dads who try to explain it to their kids based on something like "back in my day these things...well...poop nevermind..."

i wish i knew what steering setup you had. is supposedly called a DP or something like that. Its all fixed length and it already had the aluminum center section. these handle NOTHING like that 18b did. very very squirrely.

i'm hooked. me and a buddy went out racing these today and it was a blast. what i found weird was that his mt with a stock motor and lrp esc on a 6 cell nimh wasn't that much slower then my 6 cell nimh powered tekin mini rage 6800 powered T. Whats up with that? the stocker ran much hotter but still, could it boil down to the tekin being hamstrung by the battery?

Lipo's came in and are charging now.

In any case, i LOVE these things and i am super glad i got them. the e-savage is gonna collect dust while i mess with these things. We were wrecking them and just beating up on them in general until i snapped the servo arm on the MT. all in all we had an absolute blast.
