I'm a little disappointed that you used Traxxas parts on you Traxxas build but otherwise, not bad! 🤣

Cool idea, fun build, great results on an almost unTraxxas! 😎
had i been thinking i would have used AE turnbuckles (a modified set of RC10T turnbuckles) and ballstuds and RPM ball cups. that would have eliminated the traxxas turnbuckles. and i still might do that at some point. what stopped me was i had bought the RPM rod ends and there for the bigger traxxas turnbuckles. rather than return them i just used them. idk wtf i was thinking. hopefully those big ass aluminum turnbuckles hold up.
i also could have gotten a carbon fiber double decker chassis but it was $120 and the stock black chassis was under $20. made a pimp decision on that one.
i couldn't find a diff that would fit the RPM case. i tried the Drag Race Concepts diff but it's to wide. i had to shave the inner race of the bearings to make it fit. and i did do that and had it in there, i just questioned the durability and broke down and bought a stock diff.
the top shaft in the gearbox i could have modified a Drag Race Concepts shaft. i bought 2. 1 was to short (it's for eliminating the slipper) and the other was i think to long and the hole the pin goes though for the slipper was in the wrong place. i could have modified it, but again, i had durability concerns.
the front axles, nobody but traxxas makes those damn things. you can find some that aren't branded as traxxas but there $7+. i had thought about making my own on the lathe at work, but it wasn't worth the hassle when the stock ones are $3.
i got as close as reasonable practicality would allow.

Rustler's always a fun build. Nicely turned out. Trenchers are a good all-around choice for a tire. -AC
this is my first rodeo with Trenchers. i used to run Gladiator 2's on the rear of my stadium trucks but they don't make those anymore.
always run ribs on the front of my ST's as well. but with this truck being able to swap fronts and rears i went with Trenchers on the front as well. hopefully they work up there. i haven't driven the truck enough to know yet.
