i really hope you slapped him up side the head so hard he lost his sense of taste.
1/10 bugs don't need gyros :stick:
Fixed 🤣😅🫠

On clay it feels like it needs one but on carpet it doesn't at all.

Ok maybe I went too far on that...

Are gyros allowed on the track at all? Seems like having a machine race for you is sort of not fair. 🤷‍♀️
I've never used a gyro. 🤣
In competitive racing, no and if you found illegal especially if you are racing in a expensive ROAR race where you have to pass tech yea you can suffer consequences. Normal track fun club racing probably ain't that bad. For practice yea you can run one.

Never ran a gyro before. When I was running radiolink I accidentally turned on the gyro when binding up a receiver and I was wondering why I drove so terrible. Because the radio was helping me lol. Because I already knew how to drive it 🤣

I thought there would be rules against them. They are pretty strict about 'blinky' settings... it just made sense.
I think if you are learning to drive, you're best off to learn with no aid rather than to learn to rely on one. 🤷‍♀️

Yea I agree. Me personally normal club racing I don't run blinky mode. For 2wd I can't as I have a budget HW quickrun. For 4wd I run normal off-road profile but all electronic timing disabled. Just so I can easily access it as I upgraded to the boost firmware (HW stock spec). Even back when I did some awards races they didn't even check for blinky mode. But like said if it's like a real competitive race where you pay high money to enter, yea they'll catch you if found illegal.

Just a combined class for what everyone had tbh.
ah ok, that's cool! looked like it worked out to be pretty equal anyway.

I absolutely love a good SCT hack fest. Throw some rando vehicles in the mix and it's even better lol

Years ago, I got tossed into a few of those races. More like a novice class a few times WAY back and then when I was one of 3 4WDs that showed that week, or B main 4WD had only a couple cars, they'd put a few misc more or less so we could get to race at all...
Those were real fun races!!! Even if there was a few mismatched cars on the track. Winning is fun but I enjoy racing... all of it! ❤️ (ok, the prices could be better!🤣)

After watching the vids, I have to ask...what the hell are the vehicle specs for 4WD SCT? Do I see a mini truggy and a Jato 4x4? lol
Your guess is as good as mine. The only guy I lost to was that cheater gentleman with the mini truggy. Was kinda peeved about that I wanted 1st lol

Hey hey, apparently you didn't notice the tiny bit of sarcasm in my voice. I know that they don't use gyros..... But maybe David should on clay lol

Aww man. It would look so cool to have a 2WD bug (hehe) drifting around the entire track in beautiful controlled slides.....

Had another great track day with @DavidB1126 today. This time we went to Scope (backyard fun track) and just kinda fooled around with the RCs. I only had the Slash MM and Typhon 6S but I used them to the fullest.

I was given a set of China race tires by David’s buddy (thx Patrick!) and they helped a ton over the stock DBoots tires.

The pits were pretty packed but I managed to make it.

Track layout was pretty great.

Typhon looks smokin hot on race tires.

Slash MM performed pretty rough….. the mid motor is amazing on high grip but add that with some bad suspension tuning and it wasn’t great.

Me and David had matching buggies which was fun.

Drivers stand was plenty high to see the whole track.

^ There were 4 total Typhons, here are 3 of them:

View of the track leaving. 😭

Hope to come back soon! David is the master of bending metal. Chassis, shock towers, and probably other stuff we didn’t see, got totaled. Poor Typhon. Brings me memories of the chassis he bent on my car 🤔 (all good David I just can’t leave well enough alone)

Hopefully will return with a faster Typhon and better skills.

We’ll see how long it takes me to make the trek up to Maryland again.
