Build Showcase Frolickin' Frog

I wanted something stable to use for Crappie fishing and this is going to do it. I hope you all enjoy the pics. It was a fun, crazy, frustrating, and exciting all in one build.

19mph is a guestimate only because the range available on the info spread sheet.
She won't go fast at all because I'll be towing Crappie jigs.
You knock that off sir! It will do 19mph, and with my old asss on it! 😅

I did a little experiment, I was kind of concerned the prop wasn't going reach down in the water far enough so
I put the pontoon in the bathtub, "and no I didn't get in with it, that's reserved for my rubber frog".
It actually drops down to a point, it's almost too deep so I ordered some XT90s and 5 ft of wire and I'm going to position the batteries
up front so it will level out the boat and lift the motor up a little higher. I'm running two batteries in parallel, 2s.
It won't look all that great but I'll build a box and paint it the same deck color.

Congrats my friend. Seems like you need the cen f450 to haul it. 🤣

I agree the skeletons help make it. And the tool box handle is another level. Great job.

congratulations.

So, how long were you working on this for?
Were you your own guide or were you able to reference another build?

I agree with another comment about the appeal of the party boat over a speed boat.

Finally. Do you really plan to rig it with a hook? Really really?

This was completely from scratch and I didn't have anything to model it from and yes
I am going to use the winch for trolling.
I'm not so sure the bass boat will run very smooth but I sure this pontoon will.
Spring is coming soon enough and I'll take it out.

Thanks my friend.
I want to start building a large scale gas boat but I need to concentrate on licensing my personal pontoon,
evasive species sticker for both kayaks and get my non-resident fishing license for Oregon.
I do more fishing in Oregon than I do Idaho.

I'd like to build a F450 to pull it but other than pics, nobody would see it, besides that,
it's too close to fishing/camping season and I have things I need to purchase.
