I have a nitro quake 1/8 scale monster nitro truck i have had in storage for about 8 years. Wondering what i should do as to possibly starting this machine back up and bringing it back to life. All the fluids and batteries where taken out of the machine when i put it up for storage. Any suggestions guys like what glow plug and fuel i should run in it to bring it back to life? The truck has always started before i stored it with zero issues. Thanks guys.

Check all moving parts manually turn over with glow plug removed check carb needles and throttle.. Nitro over time will gum an engine and carb up after sitting for period of time if it’s not thoroughly cleaned before stored.

Get new glow plug and use new fuel. I run my mixture little fat. It’s all depends on what works for you and ur climate ect.

I recently bought a car (schumacher rascal) that must have been sitting for long as well, and as long as there isn't gum inside that blocks or brakes the engine when turning it you're fine. Of course the carb and needles need to be clear as well. Fuel lines often don't have to be replaced though it's indeed something very cheap that can be a potential easy fix. My engine seemed to have some gum in it but it just burned all away in like 2 minutes👍
If you mind yes it did suffocate me

I have quit great aliexpress T2 glowplug experience, I run 16% nitro because anything above is illegal in europe

Illegal huh crazy. Australia is limited what they can use as well for racing engines. Alcohol is illegal to run there

Got it home it’s dirty from sitting. Everything is free that I moved by my hand. Carb is little sticky but that could be the servo also. Missing battery pack for truck which I ordered up one new. So now waiting for it to come so I can check and make sure all the servo’s work

Personally, I’d go ahead and order a rebuild kit for the carb. Id take the carb apart to rebuild and clean it. Clean your tank too. Make sure it has flow. Put the new fuel lines on it. Squirt some sea foam lube into the top end. Turn it over by the flywheel and get it lubed good. Then put the plug in it, prime the motor, and fire it up!!!!!
