Ok my friend is looking into nitro trucks he has a electric stampede. He wants a nitro and the revo is out of his budget. So what car do you think he should get. He wants to spen 300 or 400 dollars at most! So thanks for all you help!! :Southern_California

Assuming he wants a monster truck. The Savage X 4.6 RTR can be had for about $400. Otherwise I would save for the Revo.

Another option is to buy used.

He is thinking about buyin a used t maxx. What do you think of those trucks?

I'd personally not get a maxx. They cost a lot to make the tough or as tough as others. The savage, revo, LST are all more cost effective in the long run.

Would these trucks be good 4 bashin around? If not wut other bashin trucks r there?

My Mad Force is crazy, once i broke it in i just can't keep it on four wheels, great in the back yard or anywhere really I've hit trees and flipped it heaps and it just keeps going

The Revo is great for bashing. If i remember correctly there were a few for sale here on the board at a reasonable price. You might try contacting Talonone. He usually has one or two that are fixed up that he's tired of playing with.

The savage would be the best if he's not willing to all ways pay for new parts. The tmaxx is good but the parts for it are VERY expensive exsample i wanted to buy a new air filter and it cost $35:thumbdown

Apparently you don't shop very wisely. You could have gotten a great Motor Saver air filter for like $15.

Yes, the T-Maxx is a money pit, and I concur with your statement regarding the Savage being a "beter" truck...but better is all relative. Since I have owned both flavors in the past, I can say that I had a blast with both trucks, but spent way less money on my Savage than I did on my T-Maxx.
