I was tempted to buy a mint TRAXXAS bullet with the box the other day but i said no, it looked so damn cool.
I did buy a nitro stampede that i haven't taken a close look at yet so i don't feel so bad :)

Immediately search for nitro stampede chassis. Congrats. Any pics?

Not going to watch the entire video, but how did that RC change the industry? I remember it coming out and the RC crowd at the hobby shop thought it was a toy.

I will put some up later on my other thread, i haven't driven rc for about 4 months.

shuffling rc cars around the work shed because i have already too many.
I'm building a storage shelf right now to put some of them on there.:)

The Traxxas Cat is basically a toy, it was basically a Nikko F10 with "hobby grade" parts. The only "revolutionary" part about it was being offered as a RTR.

The F10 itself was a copy of the Tamiya Hornet, and there were dozens and dozens of various Hornet knock offs back then.

That was a big reason everyone hated the Traxxas stuff. That and they were all plastic. Nobody wanted to buy a RTR RC back then. People that got into the hobby loved building the kits.

Having owned a few old school buggies (Top Cat, Losi XXX), I'd say that Traxxas stuff is still a bit plastic for the price.

Sometimes I feel like I got into the hobby too late, since now we have people who have to go to the LHS just to have them change a spur gear.

Another sign our public schools are failing the American population 🤬
