If you don't make a mistake or break something every once in a few, you're doing it wrong!

My comment about rtr vs kits wasn't directed at you so much as was a comment about R/C in general.
Not many years ago, it was hard to find an RTR. Almost everything was a kit.

RTR is great for getting ppl into the hobby. Makes it easy when there you don't need to pick all the parts individually. Lots of ppl were intimidated by the build process too.



Now we have

the other side where its hard to find a kit

. Not a ton of manufacturers sell 'kits' these days.
For ppl who WANT to pick their own electronics, already own a good radio system etc...

The stuff that comes in an RTR is extra 'unwanted' parts that we HAVE to pay for and throw away.
Good and bad for each case.
You bought a good R/C, rtr or not!

Your experience with it will come over time. Thru repairs and maintenance, you'll have the whole truck apart before long.
