Not knowing what I'm doing doesn't stop me from offering advice! 😜 🤣 Seriously, this is a great forum and I have learned a bunch since I've been here.
What he said! Welcome. Once you get that baby dialed in? You got a great basher. That thing can take a beating!

I just want to say first, congratulations! This has been a great hobby for me and many others and I hope it is an awesome adventure for you learning about your first car. AE is a great brand to go with! Seen reviews on that truck and totally love it and want one! From what I know, that is a super solid choice and I think the only drawback you may see is with parts availability. Now this can vary widely between vehicles but in my experience, parts supply at hobby shops seems to be based on demand and I don't blame them..

So here is the thing about the batteries, they are not like the old style batteries, they are like your cell phone or whatever and they like to live at an area between %80 and %20. Try not to charge them fully if you are going to store them for winter or something but if you are going to drive on a regular basis just charge them and leave them for the next use. If you feel any fade in power, stop driving.. get more batteries if you need. Lipo batteries are awesome but they definitely need more attention. Think about your charging and usage and they will live much longer and perform so much better than the old NiMh or NiCad ones did. You got into this at a good time!

Not sure on the run times for your stock truck, but I would highly suggest looking it up and seeing what kind of run time is responsible.
