Ok so with a good few hours tinkering and a lot of help on here I managed to get it started with adjustments to the L screw mostly, I was having issues when accelerating, the motor was cutting out.. anyway got it going ok and where it was starting first Pull so took it over to a big car park and literally within 30 seconds I lost complete drive under very light driving, now I’m just getting a spinning sound and the wheels are not moving 🙄🙄.

I’ve had a look and it just looks like far too much stuff to strip down for me to be able to get to where I think the issue is so I’m going to contact the supplier and hopefully they can rectify asap.

What a weekend lol.

If that already messes up the transmission, I'd just return the car and get a rovan or HPI. The FS racing cars don't have a very good reputation to begin with...

The engine is often targeted as it is very low-revving with low low-end torque for a 30cc. A 23cc zenoah could gap it from the reviews I've seen. I don't remember everything I've read 2 years ago, when I looked to buy my first gas rc car, but people were very negative. Sooner or later you'll break something, as you probably have already done, and with no parts support there's nothing you can do.
A second handed baja would be within the same price range and be a lot more reliable, though I can only say that as a baja owner who watched bad reviews on FS racing products.
