Ok so I completely calculated my FDR wrong! I didn't know that it was (spur/pinion)x internal ratio of the actual car. I thought it was just spur/pinion. Anyways so I ended up with a FDR of 9.52, which I think is too high I was aiming for 3.85. Now I have maybe a spur and pinion I might not be able to use, the spur is an 80 tooth and I'd have to get a 52t pinion which I think might be a bit big. The thing is I can't really go any bigger then an 80t spur cause of size restraints. What do you guys think I should do here.

I hope this makes sense.

The car is a tc3 I'm trying to set up for CVTA, with a HobbyWing justock 21.5 motor ESC combo.

Are you trying to go faster or have more torque?
9.52 is a much lower ratio than what you're aiming for.
What was the pinion/spur ratio you started with?

I'm trying to get set up for VTA racing so speed. That was the gear ratio I was going to start with. First time I ever set up a car only been in the hobby a little over a year and I've always bought RTR's.
