Faulty!! Mini 8ight-t slipper clutch

Hi all has anyone else had this problem I ordered a brand new 8ight-t from modelsport went to set up the clutch for right bite but at the point of no more adjustment the nut won't tighten any more I eased off so it slips then turned it back bit by bit but the clutch is still slipping and is making a clicking noise I'm gutted

Have a 8ight and an 8ight-T but theyre not mini versions...sorry

Have you tried using shims behind the nut?
