Well i did. Today, i brought out the ole' rc10Gt and she ran like a champ! She Held a good tune, ran sweet, and kept the temps. normal! This mad me happy today, because yesterday my reciever got a lil wet and crapt on me for a min. and i lost control @ WOT.

Question.. I dryed the reciever and put it in a balloon and zip-tied to seal it, and it works great now! But, Is it bad now? will it possibly crap out in the near future?

i would, but all it would take is a shot of water, and bam, its gone.

Well, I'm gonna quote someone, can't remeber who, but: "They run the best before they blow up!"

TRUE!!!

I was running agian, and the engine just quit. I smelled this awful burning smell, and i was like oh poop! I put it on my stand, and blam! the motor is locked up. engine go BOOM!

WAIT!!.....whats this? A ROCK IN THE FLYWHEEL!!! The engine is fine. The smell was the flywheel eating away and burning the rock!

Man, i almost cried.

LOL....keep the ballon on or make a sealed box for your elctronics....the Rx doesn't generate nearly as much heat as the servo motors do and people sel those up near air tight.....I saw someone take Double sided sticky tape and place his Rx on top then covered it (after servo wires pluged in) with a large lexan plastic ST tranny style diff cover (LST I think) stuck it to the chassis and cut away the excess tape from the edges of the diff cover with an X-acto blade so the RX was sealed and protected in a plastic bubble...use some of that servo tape fasteddy sells, it kicks ass for projects like that......I used it for mounting my transponder for 1/8 scale races and it stayed on even covered in clay.......

Hay, your recever will cristlize in a few weeks and fail. You need to take it apart and clean it with electrical cleaner on the bottom side only, and dry it off with with a soft cloath and a hair dryer. Good luck.
