My E-Revo has arrived.... albeit in Blue instead of Silver.... but I am pretty sure the color matters not. The only problem is that I am at work and my truck is now sitting at home waiting. The HV Maxx setup is on Back order, along with the single motor plate and gear cover... but at least I have the truck. Man time is crawling! LOL

I hate having something at home waiting for me when I'm stuck at work, makes for the longest days ever!!

Tell me about it. It was delivered mid morning, and I really believe time is going backwards!

Hey Rob,

Do you think a Spektrum SR3100 will fit in the stock E-Revo sealed radio box? That way I don't buy it and only to find out it will not fit. Thanks

Tom

Yes it will.

The stock Traxxas micro receiver it comes with is slightly larger than the SR3100.

Thanks again. I just wanted to make sure that it would fit before I bought it.

The truck is sitting at home right now... just waiting to have the seal broken. Wife is on travel and I have the baby, so it might not be until tomorrow or Thursday before I get to try it out. Woot!

At least you get to fondle it tonight.

Congrats again on the rig. You are going to love it.

Thanks man.... I got the delivery conformation today that it was delivered. The day has crawled by since. LOL

Fondle it indeed!... there is nothing like the smell of a new rig!

Man this truck is huge! It almost seems as if this rig is 1/8 scale when you look at it! Wide suspension looks like it should handle really well. Sits low to the ground too, like a truggy would. It still has nice ground clearance, but the CG is definitely lower. I can't wait to get this thing out and give it a try.

LOL! That is how I felt when I was reading Robmob's posts once he got his. This thing is awesome. Traxxas calls it an Electric MT... It definitly looks more like a Truggy.

It is defiantly low, wide and long. The body makes it look mean as well.

The best part is that it handles as good as it looks.

Hopefully I will find out here soon. The anticipation is killing me!

Hey Robmob... did you put 23mm adatpers on your truck? Thanks

Tom

Right now I am running the standard 14mm since that is what the 40 series Road Rage tires and wheels combo I am using for on-road racing uses.

Otherwise I would be using 17mm so I can use my truggy tires and wheels.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I was just curious as to what you were using. I think I will go with the 17mm as well. Alot of wheel\tire combos out there.

Have you run the Erevo on dirt yet?

Tom

Not yet, right now it is set-up with stiff springs and thick shock oil to race on a tight on-road track.

After the season, I will swap the shocks and take it down to the local BMX track.

Cool. I have never road raced a Monster before. That sounds like alot of fun.

I have yet another question! LOL

What purpose does the extra springs and rocker arms that are included with the e-revo for? I know the package says long travel on it, but I was wondering what setup those are meant for? Thanks man.

Tom

The Revo uses a variety of different spring weight ratings to suit the conditions you are driving on.

The rocker arms come in 4 different ratings and are also to suit the conditions you are driving on. They are P1, P2, P3 and LT. Some rocker arms require the use of different push rods to work properly. You need to consult the manual when switching rocker arms to make sure you use the proper rods.

I'm not sure about the E-Revo, but with my Revo 3.3, you use the same rods with all the rockers. If you choose to use the LT rockers you have to position the rods in a specific hole on the A-Arms and use the LT springs that they provided. With the P2-P3 rockers, you can put the rods in any hole you like. (That didn't sound very good:hehe:)
