It is about time Traxxas!!!! I wist I coule link it, but I can't at work. Its atr the Traxxas forum, they have a small vid too.

Too many toys, not enough $$

I'll second that one Lesson, that my wife says I spend to much time and money w/ my mistresses (aka rc cars) as it is LOL!!!!

That thing looks down right sexy lol. But I can't justify the cost to go brushless for that sucker.

Some one said it will be like 450 range. Then tack on 200 for a ok brushless set up, ill by a baja lol.

I suppose that's not too bad. A little high maybe. $400 would be better. Probably too close to the EMaxx price point though..

Aww man, this really makes me regret buying a ZX-5. I really want one E-Revo. I still like my ZX-5 too, but it keeps breaking. It's so fragile. I hope the price tag isn't so much for the E-Revo.

But isnt that half the fun? Buying something today thats cheaper, or in this case simply an inferior product, to what you can get tomorrow! $400-450. I wish I lived in they US guys. That thing will cost $650 plus $399 for a Velenion system here in Australia. The OLD 3.3 Revo, (heh heh) costs anywhere from $750-950, yes $950 here depending on where you buy it.
I will have the E-Revo regardless, otherwise I wouldn't be BRUSHLESSBOY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dammit I finally get all the parts to build the E-maxx I decided to "settle" on and they come out with this.....
....I think it's a sign of the times that everyone is clamoring to get Brushless rigs or Electric versions of rigs to the market.....anyone know when our hobby grade 2 stroke mills will be illegal?
I bet it's sooner than we all think....

I don't think you're too off the beaten path there fishy. Brushless electric is certainly the big ticket right now... and probably will be for quite a few years to come. Fortunately, there are very large organizations that base there workings on 2-stroke nitro so I don't think we'll see a total dropoff. The hobby side of the industry is certainly showing movement but I think the serious race level aspects will continue to support nitro in a big way.

From what I understand, the rc world sees this every once in a while.. I suppose it all just comes down to performance. Brushless electric is just as fast or faster than nitro and it's a LOT easier to use.

Can you say GO GREEN, every where I look its all about going green and saving the enviroment, well i say run them all nitro and electric, besides I don't think a little nitro is putting out that much emissions LOL....

I think that they would focus on Busted @$$ 1:1 scale rides before they even consider comming after nitro RC. They would close drag strips and all kinds of stuff before then. I would like to see a hybrid rc........ interesting........

After having nitro and swearing that I would never have electric, and then having a brushless electric setup, I think it's brushless and pump gas for me. And I LIKE to work on the nitros, so I'm sure all the people that don't like tuning a nitro are going to be going brushless even sooner.

i'm the same as you, i love the noise and tuning of nitro but you can't beat taking the car out, bashing the snot out if it, blowing it off with air and putting it back on the shelf. With brushless its just great. the 6900 powered firestorm has maybe 8 runs on it and already i am looking at new tires. gotta love electric

Yep, somebody posted about this yesterday. I definitly want one. Too many toys, not enough $$ :D
Yeah I did, but I dont see the thread now.. I had a link too.. Dunno where it went

I got to fondle the E Revo at RCX.

I will post my thoughts as well as some pics once I get them off the camera.

They had the stock version and the totally tricked out brushless version which will be available as a conversion. The one on display had the yet to be released Mamba Monster Max system.

The RCX guys told me the EREVO is going to retail for $1000, how could that be? Even if market price is less thats a lot of money.
