I have gotten more confident now since beginning this hobby about stripping down my car and I am going to take my engine out this weekend but I am not sure if i should have the opening covered while she is out of the car. I have noticed some people put little covers over the openings and was wondering if anyone would know where I can get these?

cheers

Ned

y are u taking the motor out? you might as well rebuild it while you have it out. check bearings, take heaps of photos and check for general wear. put it all back together. make sure you oil it all well. oil isnt bad for it.... dont pull the carb apart but you might as well take it off and give the block a good clean while ur at it. when you put it back together seal everything and then your motor should be all good :)

i dont take my motor off unless something simple has broken or needs changing. eg clutch spring brakes or i wanna change the cb to diff teeth. no point otherwise.
