ewll my new os 18tm has just arrived , i m so happy , can't wait to break her in , a littl question , which pull start would fit on to it , any name brand and pruduct would help , thanks guys

Are you putting this in your Revo???
the OS 18TM is designed to work with the EZ start system........so you will need to transfer that over from your old engine.....

Talon

ya I'm putting in my revo , but can't i put a pullstart onto it instead?

I am not sure about that....but the TM is for sure designed for the EZ start......Try posting in power plants to see if the experts there can help...

Yes. You can. I ran a traxxas 2.5 pull start on my 18TM in my revo. That engine was so reliable that after break-in, it rarely took more than a couple pulls to start. Even during break-in, it would start right up if the line was primed.

The one you linked to in your first post will work just fine. I'd suggest getting a new OWB for a TRX2.5 though. Using an old OWB on a new starter shaft will wear out the shaft quicker.

You can find the starter housings and OWB's on ebay much cheaper than tower. I've bought OWB's for $12 on eBay for mine as opposed to $20 on tower.

alright sweet cause my wires fell off of the ez start motor and I'm having a hard time getting them backon , so i said screw it!! I'm getting a pullstart !

ya but wont you pay almost the same thing because of shipping?

$20 + $4 shipping at tower.
$12 + $4 shipping at eBay.

No. At least not when I bought mine. If you shop well, you can find guys selling the pull-start and OWB, then get both. Most do a shipping discount that way.

Granted, you don't save much, but after the 15th time of saving $6-10 on eBay, it adds up. I know I've saved a boat load over the past few years by shopping on eBay for my trucks.

Right now I'm looking at some parts for my AS on eBay for $18 that cost $40 at horizon. I'm almost just buying things based on principle!

Hey! How much did you pay for yours?

i payed $20 brand new!

let me know if you have any problems, I'm waiting on my MIP clutch, and then i'll be breaking mine in
