Oh man I've made some changes. I replaced the 2-speed with a center dif and ended all my dif issues completely. Now that I have done that, can someone recommend an engine that will just scream? I don't race I just hit the tracks for fun. I'm looking at an STS .28 or the Team Losi Mach 427. Any input is appreciated.

I just installed an axial 28 in my mammoth with the same setup. I'm running 50K in the center diff and it still unloads in the front.

Seems to be a pretty decent engine. I think I'm running a 13T bell, but I think I could get away with a 15T and still have good punch off the line.

Picco .28 would be a good choice. If you can deal with a non-pullstart there is a Werks .28 out now, should be pretty quick. Axial .28 is a good choice aswell...

Casual racing at the track with friends but may eventually go to racing a Saturday series. Not quite sure yet but not a basher for sure. I love the track. I need more push off the corners. Thunder Alley has a great straight but the corners and the jumps that follow are hard to get by sometimes. Thanks for the advice.

If you are set-up for a starterbox, check out the for sale forum. There is a nice deal on a Picco .28 from savagefan04 that will push the weight of the Mammoth around very nicely.
