i just picked up a used emaxx , it has one titan 775 motor, and rpm shock towers, and body mounts, and blue springs on the outer shocks, just wondering about the 775 motor, is it any good, or better off haven, 2,550's, and what are the weak points of the emaxx's,i no dont fix it until broken, but what are the 1st upgrades to get??? otherwise everything else looks stock to me, i dont wanna go brushless rite away, its gonna b for my 2 girls to play with, so dont want it blazen fast yet, and it doesn't have the 2.4 system either, i want to upgrade that, i no as a kid once myself, i broke alot of radio antennas, lol, and can i run lipo's in it now???, it was a trade for my 1/16 vxl summit,

From what I have heard the 775 is about the same as 2 550's. Two 775's however will increase your torque.

This may be true, I don't know. But I can tell you after reading the paperwork that comes with the summit, I'm pretty sure it comes with 1 775. The manual says do not install 2, they will get too hot and won't be efficient, due to the loss of efficiency they will not perform as well as one motor.

i ran it today and they motor and battery packs were pretty hot, ill try and find a heatsink for the 775 even tho it has built in fan, i think its running a 19 tooth pinon gear, i have been tryn to fix the steering, just when u think its tracking straight, it goes left or rite,it has 2 hi tec hs-5645 mg, servo's installed on it so made some adjustments to the steering , we'll see if that has helped tomorrow

I think this is a traxxas problem. I have 2 e-maxx's that do the same as well as my buddies summit! I have no idea why. The servos aren't slipping or binding on any of them.

I do know the hinge pins are busted on the rear of both a arms and only the front is holding them. one 1 of my emaxx's check your a arms for slop and check the hinge pin screws. I've already ordered new ones.
(the front lower hinge pins on the lower a arms on the rear of the a arms)

also make sure the plastic c clips that keep the a arms from sliding back and forth are in place.

ok, will check them asap, thanks, just ran it b4 and seemed better, but then again it started to wander left or right sometimes, weird, and what pinion gear are you useing?? mine doesn't have much topend or torque, so I'm thinking of gearing it so it has more torque, if i want topend ill just run my vxl rustler i guess!! lol

c clips are there doing there job so, and hinge pins are screwed in all the way,and nothing broken so mayb its the servo saver

I don't know what pinion i'm running. I have 2 of them. One has the mamba monster max 2200kv setup and the other has a castle nue 1900kv motor and monster max esc. Both are running on 3 cell lipo. The 2200kv makes a pretty big difference compared to the 1900. They are both pretty fast top end. I'd guestimate the 1900 at about 30 give or take and the 2200 at 50 give or take. maybe 60, that's pushing it though.
