Electric On/Off Switch

It exists, has a red led and the pros use it, BUT you can't find it in a search? Hmmm, sounds pretty custom to me. Also sounds complicated and expensive.

I hooked up my dog training collar as a remote on/off switch. Fried a couple Rx's till I found the right resistor to hook inline.

Speaking of pros, Have you read about the new USB RX. It records 9 different data streams. 2 Heat, Amps, Voltage, Speed, G-Force and more. After the race you can download it to your laptop and analyze it. It has a red button on it as well.

So it's settled, we're using a modified dog collar hooked up to a clapper with an inline resistor. I'm gonna get rich off this one.

I tried a remote keyless entry system from my subaru, but it added too much weight and the voltageas were all wrong. It had a red flashy light and a horn toot.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but it has a red led and a switch and is for some sort of R/C something or other.

it's refered to as a switch harness. Searching for switches will get you a bunch of hits, mostly non r/c. And a switch harness has either 2 or 3 leads and a DPDT switch in the middle. This has six connectors and is either/or non-monentary slider switch. It's simple, reliable, and it works. Keep things simple and save yourself alot of headaches.

Error and I have been searching google and every RC site we can find. How else do you think we came up with all this stuff?

I just so happen to keep a photo of a home made rc with a big red button on the top of it on my computer so every time someones asks this same question you did I can post it.
