Just bought e-revo 2.0 with 6s batteries (2x3s). Does the group have experience with changing gearings, the manual says that 15/50 only with 4s batteries (2x2s), so if you drive 6s with this gearing, is there a risk of the engine breaking? The purpose would be to get a little more speed, so that the acceleration wouldn't drop too much.. 15/54 as standard.

Sry bad english! (Google translate)

Straight from Traxxas (You can run the stock 15/54 with 6S):

yes i know, but the question was, can that 15/50 be used with 3s, or is the engine in danger of breaking?

If the ESC will operate at that input voltage (11.1v), the motor will be fine. After run temps will tell you if the gearing is 'safe'.

Do you mean the temperature of the engine or the esc? What is the dangerous temperature limit?

For motors, I don't like to push my motors over 170 F, and ESCs over 140 ish F. (This is for my 1/10 bashers and race stuff so not really sure for bigger scale stuff)
