e-clips, what a pain!

So, the correct way to install an e-clip is with the rounded side *in* ?
When they make them, say the machine stamps the clip out of the sheet from the top. Then you have a sharp bottom on the clip and a rounded top. This rounded top goes in the inside (next to the part)?

Thanks!

The sharp side will be pointed away from any moving part.
If the clip touches a part it is less likely to cut into, grab, and come off.
