DX3 vs DX3.0 - Whats the difference?

Hi,
I am finally going to cave in and get a 2.4 radio for my MGT .21 and slash, after my MGT got mangled from the heirloom AM radio failing and it running under a fence. What is the difference between the DX3 nd the DX3.0?

For most racing applications, monster trucks and short course trucks it doesn't really matter. The DX3 has a 3 position 3rd channel switch, while the 3.0 has a 2 position 3rd channel switch. So really its only main advantage would be for crawler applications, not to mention DX3's are really hard to come by, as most crawler guys scoop them up as soon as they find them.

Yeah the only thing I know is different is the 3 pos 3rd channel like TAC said and the 3's are not in production and when you find them like on ebay they go pretty fast. Thats not to say that theres not a bunch of differences, I just dont know of any others off hand.

I am watching a DX3 on fee-bay, it is at 60 with 0 bids or Buy it now for 80, is that a good deal? Also, why did spectrum replace the DX3 with the DX3.0?

Yup, it does come with a rx. It is apparently in very good condition and shipping is $10 in the US. Also, would a Futaba 3PK or 3PM be better? Or maybe a JR?

Spektrum didn't replace the DX3S and DX3R with the 3.0. The 3.0 was the second of the 2.4 radios for Spektrum. The 2.0 and 3.0 are basically the same as their JR XR3 FM radios which I own both! The 3.0 is a great radio and I love it it has 4 model memory and came with 2 recievers. The original DX2 and DX3 previous very first 2.4 version has less model memory. They updated the electronics a bit. Also JR and Spektrum are the same company!
