new to rc trucks.Have a plane and an e7 Spek transmitter. Can't believe how stupid the truck/jeep 1/10 prices are. What can I get that will run on my e7 tx or is that not even worth trying?
Traxx seems to squash Spektrum on RC cars.... what's up with that? I want to use my e7 Spek tx and 3s 1300 battery...

Arrma granite 1/10..? No experience myself with arrma other then reading comments lol. I'm recommending this especially for parts support, otherwise you could go with a himoto and be left with €100 more.
They run on 3s, but 1300mAh is not much at all. My 1/16thh scale 2s onroad car has 1100mAh and it goes for like 10 minutes...

Yeah, the 3s won't work well at all in anything 1/10 scale.

I recommend look for used or save up and buy a better car. A $100 1/10 scale truck is unlikely to last very long.
Plan on buying new batteries that are suitable for your new RC.

Air radio’s and little itty bitty aircraft LiPo batteries don’t transfer over to the surface world very well. We use pistol grip radio’s and 4000-5000+ mah stick packs over here 😎

If you want to stay in the spektrum family, pretty much any brand owned by Horizon; Losi, Arrma, axial, etc usually come with some type of spektrum compatible reciever. Although I seriously doubt it’ll bind to your 7 channel stick radio as the protocol is likely different.

If you’re looking for budget 1/10. The FMS F100 monster truck is a pretty good value. LiPo battery, decent radio, durable, etc. It’s not fast… but it’ll get you started to see if you even like surface RC since it sounds like you’re coming over from the air side of things. I have nothing but good things to say about mine…

If you’re into crawlers, you can run aircraft 3S lipos in 1:10 crawlers. That’s exclusively what I run in my trucks.

You can also use your E7 setup in a 1:10 crawler. You can get a cheap, small footprint DSMX receiver like this to run in a crawler.

But if you want to go fast, you would not want/be able to use the aircraft gear, unfortunately.

That is an ok offering but can I get smaller wheels? I will need everything with it..I give up on the 7e Spek idea...

This is not good.
You can get an SCX24 on sale for a little more.

Anything decent, whether onroad, offroad or crawler is 200+ without charger and batteries. 🤷‍♂️

When I got my FMS Ranger 1220 plane I had to get a cheap 7 ch Lemon receiver also. So if I get a rc jeep/truck rig without anything and get that same 0081 Lemon
receiver it will work with my 7e transmitter, yes? So all I would need to buy is a 3-4s Lipo maybe 2200 ma. I have the Spek charger that does all their batteries. The batt would be about 50$ maybe. So with that set up I could program the steering on the 7e even if it is slightly un usual..
with that in mind what 1/12 or 1/10 would be a good choice if I was willing to spend 160$ plus the batt roughly....?

You should find a truck, then find a battery that fits into it. Seems like you're trying to buy the battery first. 🤷‍♀️
The receiver you mentioned, if is compatible, should work fine. 👍

how about 3 models that are candidates...I wouldn't mind a 1/15 if that exists but not smaller..

I went with a 120$ cheapie,HaiBoxing.......It says it comes with a charging cable...so is the charger built in to that cable? If I had to use a DC power supply type 1-30v 10 amp... what setting should I charge at and how would I arrange the alligator clips?

It will be a simple USB charger. No alligator clips. Those haven't been used in this hobby since the 80's 😉

If you want a good charger, grab a Hota D6 Pro.
